Curriculum Vitae: Willy Whip
born 1970 St Nazaire, France
Lives and work in Nantes, France.

Willy Whip is a teacher, artist and a developer.
After graduating from his studies in IT engineering, he worked for five years in the IT industry. After that, he went back to the University of Nantes and then the Fine Art School of Rennes to receive a Masters Degree.
Whip Currently teaches design programming, sound, etc at L'Ecole de Design in Nantes.
Teaching

As an introduction to code, Whip has his students use Proce55ing (www.proce55ing.net) to explore the introductory concepts of programming. The project is a sort of interactive self portrait.

Arcade games are used to teach students how to program and design with interactivity. Each year the class makes a new set of projects, like 'space invaders', 'frog', 'pong' In these game projects students discovered how to program and design by making an adapted version of the original game.
