Arpeggiophone 2001


The Arpeggiophone is one in a series of amplified rubber band instruments (band-o-phones). A motor turns a rubber tube which is automatically moistened by a sponge. When a user pushes down on the bands they make contact with the wet tube which produces a noise. Pitch can be adjusted by pressing on different areas along the length of the bands.
